Guys, Just Scanned my computer and I found out I has 156 malware. It was the reason why my internet was so slow. The malware kept on adjusting the browsers settings. Just a friendly reminder, if your'e computers getting slow it might be some unwanted programs. Good Day :)

Thanks for the reminder. I will definitely do that once my laptop arrives. Actually when I am starting to be busy, I somehow forgot to do those things. I think there should always be a note on my computer screen to remind me of such.

Yeah, most viruses and malware are not that dangerous however they tend to be really annoying.

@annierose Yeah they are really annoying. Well at least they don't make your computer crash :)

You sound as if you never scan your computer for virus and malware before! Most virus scan will do the scan automatically, and will delete the malware after they find it. I think you have to adjust the setting, and make it automatic.

Nah I manually do it. Sometimes Antiviruses and protection programs take up too much processing power :)

Every month I run a list of programs and amazingly I have no new malware/spyware. How is this possible? I run 2-3 plugins for firefox (they are also on chrome) that blocks connections to known virus, malware sites. Yes it is not fool proof, but every month I run malwarebytes, spotbot to check for malware. Then I usually will advanced system care to make sure that my junk files are cleared up and many other areas are fixed. Then I run smartdefrag to defrag my computer and finally I run AVG antivirus scan. Yes, it is a long process, especially when I have 21 TB data that it must read through, but usually 8 hours later all the process are done. I also run drivebooster. This program keeps your drivers up to date. I have been thinking of only doing this every 2 months, instead of every month because no spyware and just cookies are found. My problem is that I would forget which Month I did it last, so for now, I am going to do this Monthly.

Really helpful advice, this comment here is a pure gold!! Just realized that the reason I had so many malware and PUP was because of a program that downloads other malware. I think it was a trojan or something. Well anyway here good sir. Have my like! :)

My computer is slow too. Actually I have a program on my computer that can detect malware. Also, since I use Mozilla Firefox I'm fortunate for having the addons to create safety in browsing the web.

Yes, it's a good idea to scan your computer regularly for virus. I don't like to install an anti virus software that runs all the time as that will slow my computer terribly. I like to use CCleaner once in a while as it's free and effective.

Yeah I turn of my antivirus most of the time since its taking too much memory. I scan it once a month to check for anomalies or if my computer suddenly starts acting weird :)
