Freak accident

On our way home from the seaside, we passed by the bakery to buy bread for my mother-in-law. After that we proceeded to go to her house.
About less than a kilometer from my mother-in-law's house, we saw people beginning to gather at the corner. By a freak accident, a brand new Ford Ranger pick-up had jumped over the open canal and went straight into the corner walls of two adjoining houses. I was so curious because, as you will see in the photo, there's a small tree right at the rear of the pick-up and there was no clear path of tracks of the vehicle on the vegetation that it ran through.
The accident must have happened just a few minutes before we passed by. People opined that the driver must have dozed off while driving at a fast speed.

That's a huge bummer to see a brand new car getting in a self accident. I wonder what the story was. Or were they trying to avoid someone crossing the street or an animal crossing?

@infatuatedbby Most likely because it's a new car and more so if it was bought from the proceeds of a car loan which is common.

Don't know the real cause of the accident. The driver could be sleepy or drunk.

We passed by at 6:20 AM and the accident must have happened just a few minutes earlier. I think the driver's okay because people said no one was inside the pick-up anymore.

Is there anybody who was hurt? That is why it is advisable that the driver is always in good condition before he drives.
We never know when will accident happen. My colleague was a careful driver but was even hit by a truck. Thanks God that he was not severely wounded.

Yes, I think so but he must have gone at high speed because that are where the truck is, is quite far from the road and the truck jumped over the open canal and rammed through vegetation.

I don't know about that. People on the scene maybe the driver fell asleep.
