Good Morning everyone Tabi our 15yr old has her 8grade graduation today and she don't want to go. I'm so sad I wanted her to but...it is her graduation and her choice. What would you do?

Not really, she's a child and should do as she's told.

@MsTickle she is 15and it wasn't her last (which she will go to that no questions asked) I did let her know I was disappointed in her choice of not going even though her dad and I paid for it. So now she has to earn bk the $ we put out for it...

Kids need to know that they have responsibilities. Parents are the boss and kids should be taught from a young age that no-one ever gets what they want all the time. It is a shame though that she doesn't realise how important this is and such a waste to throw it away.

This is a big deal for kids and maybe she is shy to be in the spotlight Welcome to My lot by the way. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Why doesn't she want to go? I have a 12-year old son and when he says he doesn't want to do something, we try to tell him to give us a valid reason why. If we think he has, then we just don't force him to.

Girls are very difficult. And I really don't want to make her do something if she is not set on doing it unless its chores

She had a rough day yesterday at the pool party with the other kids being bullies, maybe that's why? Or maybe it's because her hair never got done like it was supposed to? Just guessing here...
