Today is just an ordinary day for almost all of us.
But not to those who are lovers of donut.
But wait! What is the correct spelling of donut? Is it 'donut' (as i spelled it here in this discussion)? Or 'doughnut'?
Spending a few minutes googling my question, it led me to key facts like (contents from the web):
- Doughnut is historically accurate (back to the mid-1800s when Elizabeth Gregory, the mother of a sea captain out of New England, decided to tuck a few walnuts or hazelnuts in the center of the treats she packed for his voyages. The term "dough nuts" was born)
- The expedited, simplified, Americanized spelling of “donut,” has been around since at least the late 19th century. It didn’t catch on, though, until late in the 20th century.
Oh well! Anyways, What is your favorite flavor of donut? Me, my all-time favorite, chocolaaaaate!

I don't usually eat donuts cause it's too sweet for me. But my kids love it.

@trivia79 very delicious. Although it's expensive compared to dunkin and mr donut but it's worth buying for. You must try and taste for yourself.

Many are handing out donuts here for free but I will avoid donut stores because the lines would be incredibly long. I spell donut, donut.

My favorite is the boston cream. Although I'm not allowed to have any donuts for a while. My doctor is curious to see if I'm lactose intolerant so I have to avoid milk for a month. Boo. :-(

@trivia79 I've always had issues with stomach pains and nausea. The doctor is wondering if I have any allergies to milk or products with milk in them. I need to stay away from all milk for a month. It's been one week and I'm dying. lol

Thanks for clearing up that little mystery since every time I write donut I get that red underline. My favorite donut is one from Dunkin Donuts that is glazed and in the shape of a tractor wheel. I have no idea what the correct name of it is, but I love it. Other than that, I love chocolate filled donuts.
