Today has been a really good day!

After finding one of my beloved pet lizards had died, I was very sad so decided to take my son to the zoo. Animals always cheer me up. We went to the zoo and had a very nice time then we went to the mall where i bought him a gift card for his favorite game and got my left ear pierced twice then I went to Petco which is having a 50 percent off reptile sale and bought myself a Russian tortoise. I have been waiting so long for one

You could call you day bittersweet or something good came out of your loss of your pet. A visit to the zoo is good for everyone.

Yes Russian tortoises eat lettuce and just need a little water and dirt He spent hours sitting on my chest today without a problem

I could never understand why anyone can choose to have a lizard as a pet.Tortoise is not any better but that`s just me, crawly things just scare me,.Tortoise,well, i do not understand a thing about them.

I am fascinated by them because I dont totally understand them either but that's what makes it fun. The tortoise just sits on my chest and let's me talk to him. He is not slimy because he is a dry land creature.
