There is this saying that mothers seem to be more emotionally closer to their sons while fathers are closer to daughters; Does this always apply in every family?

I am much closer to my mother than my father. And my husband was always closer to his father not his mom.

@lovingMyBabies Uh huh!! That's the point i was making. But majority-wise [all over the world], what percentage would u give to boys closer than Mum and daughters closer to Dad ??

It's true my sister is always protected by my father and always strict to her and same as my mother always protective and strict to me whether where i go or what time i will come home.
