I do remember many officials in south Louisiana warning the residents that if a storm is coming please leave since they are not going to play the role of super hero and rescue people during a major storm like Hurricane Katrina until it is safe to do so.

This is very ture you have to be your own hero. As luck would have it the storm was not as bad a lot of rain and some wind but for my family that's good fishing weather lol. I'm glad the storm was pretty laid back ( well on my end that is)
