Was at the office really early for a meeting with some chaps who lived at the other side of the pond. After logging in my lap top, my Skype buzzed, a message appeared. I got 'london calling'. One thing comes to my mind... The Clash's song 'London Calling'!!!
Now, I was blessed to have a family that are into music. My father's side listened to their vinyl collection every Sunday. Their interest was really classical music plus a lot of oldies, music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. My mother's side preference was more updated. One of my uncle from my mother's side listened to a lot of new wave and punk. One of his most played tapes was The Clash's best of album, 'The Story of The Clash'. One of the songs in the album is 'London Calling'. It was one of the landmark songs of the band but it wasn't a favorite of mine early on.
I had always liked '(I Was) Lost in the Supermarket'. Anyway, 'London Calling' is a really great song.
Look for it now online.
Listen to it.
Sing along to it.
Thank me later.

I listen to classical music as well. My exposure to opera is very limited but I can sit still and listen to it with no problem at all.

I am corrupted cannot comment. What does happen when poor people realize their worth. Another boot on the neck? Just asking.

@crossbones27 , replies below. At least I tried...
I am corrupted cannot comment. - What do you call this?
What does happen when poor people realize their worth. - They realize they aren't so poor at all.
Another boot on the neck? - No, something else.
Just asking. - Answered.

I can't relate to the song . I am too old maybe for that .
Anyway , i love the songs my father always play in the stereo when i was just a kid . When i hear them being played on the radio , they all remind me of him . I guess , when he finally will leave this world , i don't like to hear them anymore , lest i will always feel the loneliness .
I don't like sad songs .

The saddest songs have the most to tell us.
Did you ever notice that when you are happy, you listen to the melody of the song but when you are sad, you listen to the lyrics instead?

I love the entire London Calling album. To me, it's one of the best albums of the 1970s, period.
"'Cause London is drowning and I....live by the river!!"
