Who Loves To Crochet?

I love to crochet. My mom and a friend of hers taught my sister and me when we were very young, and I have always loved it. My favorite thing to make is fingerless gloves that my dad sells in his shop. I also love making scarves and hats. I've attempted afghans, but I tend to get bored long before they are finished, because well, they're not finished. I like crochet over knit because I see a finished product much quicker with crochet.

I love to crochet and I knitt as well. My husband is actually the one that got me started doing it he taught me the basics and I took off with it I taught myself the rest from watching youtube videos. It became a part of me because it became a good source of therapy because after I had our now 6 year old daughter I had fallen about 4 months later and dislocated my elbow and fractured part of my arm. Right now I've been making all my children blankets inspired by what they like the most like my 6 year old loves the movie frozen especially Olaf so her blanket is light blue with a purple border and in the middle when I finally get him finished will be Olaf.

I love to crochet, it is much more forgiving than knitting. I have made many many hats,I bought a book so that I can make a cloche, a fedora or other unique designs. Love it.

Awesome! What is your favorite thing to make? Have you attempted an afghan yet? I admire people that have the patience for afghans.

I had a friend try to teach me to knit and crochet and well I guess I had an easier time with knitting but I am no good at either though. I can't seem to remember the steps or process in doing it :(. That is nice that you can see items in your dads shop, do you sell just the fingerless gloves or others too?

I sell whatever I can make. For now it's just the fingerless gloves, but as winter approaches I'll have hats as well. His business is "headtoppers" which is a hat store, so I don't want to sell anything that will take away from his business. I'm not competing with him lol.

@WorkAtHomeGal Thank you! I actually need to get some more gloves made soon. That involves buying yarn, and the yarn store is addictive lol.

If you really want to learn, but a hook and yarn, then go to YouTube. They have tons of tutorials for beginners as well as for the more experienced. So you can learn the basics, then learn new stitches as you become more proficient. If you lived near me I would teach you.
