Epiphany: Calendar Day!

You know how sometimes you know something that nobody had to tell you... it felt as if someone downloaded the information into your DNA? Well this just happened to me... An Epiphany! Issue: My Calendar makes me think I am more busy than what I am! It's messing with my head! Really, it does... Let me explain... For those of us who use that cute little calendar on your phones or the Great Google Calendar, you know there are automatic alerts that tell you to remember something you put in your calendar a long time ago. You told the calendar to keep this business going... FOREVER. With good intention, you just thought " I'll delete the reminder when it becomes stale." Now 6 months later, we have a whole bunch of appointments that have BEEN abandoned. For example... I have an automatic update that tells me to check my emails. Seems innocent and something you shouldn't have to think about but this is a certain email that I normally don't realize I have. The problem is that I have connected that email address to one that I check throughout the day. This makes the reminder almost worthless since it comes about once a week. Having these spaces fill our calendars while we continue to add more appointments and reminders, fills our head with unnecessary mess. My head started thinking about others things because I was wondering why I still had that in my calendar... was I trying to tell myself something? That's when I had a light bulb pop up. Epiphany: Its the middle of the year, don't you think you should clean your calendar? We clean everything else. Our emails, cars, work spaces, homes, but then we tell our calendar "bye felicia". It's a sad situation. Epiphany: Maybe there should be a Calendar Day. There is a day for everything else... Hat Day, My Day, Your Day, Sun Day (no pun intended...lol). The date of Calendar Day should be June 15; the middle of the year because clearing up your calendar could mean clearing up your brain. #fengshui. It will allow us to reassess what we are now doing and what is now important to us. It will give us the green light to chuck out those silly reminders we've been listening to for the last... forever. It may also help us clear out some some cobwebs that have been accumulating in our head. I'm going to go clean my calendar... so I can think straight. Let me know if it works for you. By the way, is there already a Calendar Day?

I still live in the age of messages on paper. I have a calendar on my desk and write appointments into it.

I try not to even look at a calendar or even pay much attention to what day it is. It seems to make life go faster. I downloaded a calendar app on my phone and computer but never used them.
