My son is having Tab II and he downloaded many games of his like and he is so addicted so much, wherever he go he carry his Tab and will be playing while travelling in the bus or if he is free. Today he came to my house alongwith me and without his Tab II and he is feeling bore. I am afraid of this, because he is just 10 years and he can't be able to stay without games. If this continues what about his studies this is what I am worried about him now, all these days he has summer vacation but now school is going to start from June 12. Now I want to make him to divert his mind from games to studies. How? this is what my worry now.

I have a cousin who is so addicted in tab and computer games and one day he was rushed in the hospital. The doctor said that he became epileptic because of radiation of tab and computer. Its okay as long as it has limitation.

children are very much crazy about computer games too, i feel they are just wasting their time, they can very much learn something about their classes books and do something instead playing games in the computer and cell phones. I always says this to my son but he is not listening to me.

@Jotomy I think it still have good effects to kids like when they're watching educatinal videos but not giving their self a limitation is bad not just in health issue but also in addiction issues..

He should not spend too much time playing games, it's not healthy. You must make clear that study comes first or you will confiscate his Tab II.

Yeah. Its not a healthy sign. These days kids have forgotten whats its like to go out & play or pursue a hobby etc. And its not just kids, adults too seems to always be on their phones. The phone is become such an integral part of a persons everyday life. The only thing I can think is to give him the tab on pre-decided time slots. Say like 10-12, 4-6 etc. I'm sure you can work out something with him. All the best.

that physical attitude is not there, they do play with gadgets and becoming fat as they don't have physical excercise. I am afraid of this

My son had his first iPad when he was only 8 years old. He's already 12 now but he's more on his iPhone than his iPad. Back then, during school days, his iPad is off limits.

This is the problem with most of the kids today. Isn't there any place where he can go and play outdoor games. You can enroll him for swimming classes. As a mother I too worry a lot on this ,though my kids are grown up now.
