An event: child version vs adult version

I had a local neighbor stop at my home this morning and let me know that my 15yr old was riding her scooter in the middle of the small road I live on. She was on her way to school with her younger brother who is 14. The ladies claim was that she almost hit my daughter because she was trying to avoid a oncoming car. While there is a small footpath the scooter can be ridden on it's a dirt path not a sealed road. Both children claim that my daughter was well and truly out of harms way and the lady could have paid better attention and slowed down. So who do you think I should believe.

People on a scooter and motorcycle usually can judge the distance better than people on a car. While the lady inside the car thinks that it was close, maybe it's not that close for your daughter?
