Living Big by Appreciating What is Small

Happiness is always chased by many by hoping for things that they do not have. Some people are blinded by the belief that happiness can be attained completely by acquiring big wealth, by winning the lottery, or by being married to a millionaire. Some people linked happiness to money most especially those who are struggling every day to have foods on the table. Although money can bring us happiness, it is just a temporary one. As I journey through life, I have realized that there are too many things people take for granted. Simple care from loved ones, roof in our heads, foods on our table, fresh air produced by plants and trees, complete body parts. I can say that there are too many simple things to mention that if only we'll focus on it every day then we can feel complete and blessed. Photo is taken during my trip to Hong Kong.

Thanks @sol_cee! That was in Chin Lin Nunnery in Hong Kong. My boyfriend is fond of taking photos of me when I am not looking.

Reflecting once in a while is good. We have been living a busy life that sometimes good things pass without us noticing it because we are looking too far.

This is my 'mantra' too. Small things happen everyday and if we ignore them then where is happiness?

You have a good mantra. I guess you have a well-contented life because you think positively. How are you doing nowadays?

Yes, it is true. We all need money but not all joys come from money alone.

Yeah.. we have so many things to be thankful for. Small and simple things that should be appreciated. But let's accept the fact, that we cannot live without money. We cannot have those material things that we need without money. So all I can say is, appreciate what you have. May it small or big. Be thankful for everything that you received. And continue exerting effort to earn money.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Cristy! We do need money but if a person's world fully revolves around money, then I think it is not good. You are right about being thankful for everything. Practicing gratitude always is a good thing.

I appreciate the little things in life, there is no such a thing as a big happiness waiting for us down the road, somewhere, sometime.
