Aryabhatta is inventor of zero in place-value system.Not only this he shown a great skill in mathematics and astronomy.He knows the value of pi. This implies that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter is ((4 + 100) × 8 + 62000)/20000 = 62832/20000 = 3.1416, which is accurate to five significant figures. He calculated solar and lunar eclipse and sidereal rotation of earth ( rotation speed of earth),advocated the heliocentricism in 476 CE. Hats off Aryabhatta..
