The 80 / 20 Rule of Marriage and Relationships

So for those that have never heard of this rule let me break it down for you. The 80/20 Rule is when you met someone who is everything you want in them EXCEPT for that one thing they either do or don't do that could send your relationship to 100%. They are 80% of what you want but missing that 20% you could easily find in another person. Do you keep the 80% or gamble to find the 100% person

everything depends on the person. Sometimes you need more rates to be complemented by another person. I think things are perfect when people are complementary. and people consistently supplement and nobody knows when and what will be in any given situation how you will react.

Do you think a certain reaction to a situation can cause a relationship to lose the 80/20 balance ?

I don't believe there is a certain percentage to go by, but it's important to find someone who gives and doesn't just take. A person will exhaust themselves if they do all the giving.

No one is perfect and so is relationship. Why gamble? You both can make it work if you really love each other. Work the 20% or the 80%... whatever it is. It's a teamwork actually to make a relationship grow.

So let's say the 20% is a dealbreaker on your list, would it be something you would be willing to work at ?
