You've already found myLot which is a legitimate site for making money from your 'writing'. However you won't get rich here as you'll probably earn peanuts, I mean cents unless you spend a lot of time interacting here. Try it for yourself.

@graciemac You're right. Although you may not meet people as in a physical sense but you can certainly make new friends from all over the world, interact and perhaps learn something from them.

I earn money with Clixsense, CashCrate, and Inboxdollars just to name a few. They are all free to join and are very easy to earn a few extra bucks with. I don't make a ton of money but every little bit helps. I just cashed out yesterday from one of my sites and I bought two movies for my son.

@graciemac No. I have a good virus protection software that I have used for years. Plus I don't think these are really a threat. I have never gotten a notice of any potential virus infections from any of the sites that I use.

Check Upwork (formerly Odesk & Elance). You'll find there legitimate projects that pay hourly or fixed price.
