This is the usual phrase where my husband usually say when his sugar down to normal. I saw him sweating too much even he didn't make an exercise, he just nap while I'm in mylot and when he gets up, he asks me that he likes to eat. I give him a soda and a slice of cake from my parents house. Glad that I brought half of it. After 15 minutes, he gets back to his normal sugar level, I already knew the sign if his sugar returns to normal, no more sweating. Every time when I go to my parents house, I always bring sweet foods when I return home, just in case his sugar level down below normal I can give him foods that can shoot his sugar to normal. I know, there are mylotters out there who have the same ailment of my husband, what will you eat to bring back immediately your sugar to normal level.

My mom always carried candies and cookies in her purse. She never liked eating sweet stuff .. but she was aware that her sugar levels could suddenly drop.

@ida123 really, so that means he need lots of sweetened foods: cakes, ice creams, breads, juice, soda among others.

I have been told I am borderline diabetic for years. So I take food in moderation but feel more tired and I take it it is due to age - siva

Not eat but drink. Just an 8oz size of Coke can shoot up the sugar level pretty quick.

It is sad to hear that your husband has this illness, for once last week I am so afraid to have a blood work up because I am scared to see if my sugar is increased. Still am lucky though, it did not. But as for increasing sugar when increasing sugar when it dropped, I think coca cola would be the best and fastest way to raise it.

Yes, diabetes is not really an easy illness if it is low, we have to find ways to increase it or if your sugar is high we have to find ways to decrease it.

@ida123 Cutting down on carbs like pizza, bread, and white potatoes, along with weight loss and exercise can help prevent diabetes.

Good that his sugar was controlled, most diabetics sugar can be controlled if they are only following the do's and don'ts and have a healthy lifestyle.
