Trying to Find Old Toys

United States

There are some toys I LOVED playing with as a child. I don't have them anymore but I would love to have them again. There are two that were favorites. One was a cabbage patch doll that had hair I could style. She was the blonde one with the cowboy outfit. She came with a comb and a crimping clamp thingy for her hair. I used to carry her around with me everywhere. The second toy was a pink, handheld Ms. Pac-Man game. I used to play that thing for hours and actually had it mastered. I knew the exact pattern to take and could almost play it with my eyes closed. Are there any old toys from your childhood you wish you could have again?

I had a doll named Jessica that I loved. I think I still have her. But I wish I still had the big black bear that my grandfather gave me. But squirrels ate him.

@Genipher, @missjessicadawn The black bear was so big (he was big when I was little) we put him in the attic (he was a stuffed bear). We ended up having squirrels in the attic.Since they ate him I had to throw him away.

Now that's a story I'd love to hear! You can't just drop a statement like that without more explanation!

I wish we still have my daughters' big walking doll at home. We call her Daisy.

@missjessicadawn It is battery operated. When we turn it on, the doll moves as if it is walking.

@magallon Oh wow! That's pretty cool! I may have been afraid of a toy like that when I was younger! lol

OH yes. But i still found them at the toy store and bought them again. One of them is a game board called Millionare's Game that me and my siblings together with our dad used to play.

Millionaire's Game? Is that kind of like Monopoly?

We are not lucky like you, we had no toys. Our parent were so poor and no time for us. We only play hide and find lo in the bushes. After that we will jumped in the river washing our dirt.

Honestly, that sounds like more fun. It all depends on how you look at it. I always had more fun when I played outside. :-)

My kids often have more fun playing with the rocks and sticks outside than their "regular" toys. And my siblings and I used to run all over the countryside, digging for gold, playing in the creek, wandering the trails. I'd say that's better than being stuck in front of a computer or t.v. screen for hours on end.

I used to have a Strawberry Shortcake doll, complete with her own baby stroller. When you pushed her belly, she "breathed" out the scent of strawberries! I also miss my Teddy.
