Summer Comes In Thundering

From Monday to Tuesday at about 12:41 AM summer arrived in Latvia. Today we were treated to a sunny and quite humid morning. However by mid-afternoon the clouds came rolling in and we had a heavy thunderstorm. At the moment more rain is expected but they do say that by tomorrow the sun should be out again. It is not bad that we are having this rain because our planted pumpkins and cucumber and strawberries all needed the rain. The only one who didn’t need the rain is our cat Sid who has been grumpy because it is humid outside and the house is hot on the inside and because of the rain he finally found rest on a fluffy pillow with an open window and is happy being on the windowsill.
