oh body, why does thou doest this?

June 26, 2016 4:53pm CST
All week I have suffered with a cold. I spluttered my way through, and made it to the other side, despite the frustrated moanings of my colleagues and having to blow my nose in public whilst on the bus. I thought I was getting better. I thought I was beginning to feel fine and dandy. But I wasn't counting on Sunday Morning. Sunday Morning woke me up with intense feelings of nauseousness. He encouraged me to barf as Bart would, but I declined the offer. Instead, I slept till three in the afternoon, occasionally waking up to drink water and feel a bit nauseous again. Because of Sunday Morning we missed going to the cinema to see how pets behave when alone and we missed using the five pound off voucher we had for a local pub's grub. I am now in bed again with Headache, Bellyache, and Fuzzy Head. Nausea is still creeping around, trying to worm his way back into bed with us, but I'm fighting him off. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think I've been more prone to illness over the last six months than in the last six years, and it's really beginning to annoy me. Let's hope that when I awaken tomorrow I'll be heartily on the Road to Recovery. Stupid body.

I am sorry you feel sick again. It seems that when things go wrong with our body everything comes together. Do you still feel nauseousness? May be it is a flu.

@Poppylicious This is surely a residue of the flu you already had. Our body need more rest and more relax to heal faster. It's hard in our days to be fully relaxed.

I think I'm just really run down ... I did hear that flu can set you back for a few months sometimes, so maybe this is residue from my bout of flu at the beginning of the year.

It is amazing how the body can hold illness at bay until that holiday you planned kicks off... Or is that just me?

One of the perks of working in education is picking up every illness going at first, but then becoming immune to almost everything. Apparently I seem to lost my immunity. But yep, let your mind know that a holiday is just around the corner and suddenly the body wants to make itself known in a negative way!

@pgntwo The first two things you learn when teacher training are that you WILL get ill constantly in your first year and that you must not smile for the first six months. :)

I think your symptoms need more care than just sleeping. I hope you have consulted your doctor.

I've been fighting off a hay-fever induced sore throat. After not talking much all weekend, I think I'm finally winning the battle.
