I just started eating sunflower seeds as snacks for three consecutive weeks. Before my favorite are roasted peanuts and cashew nuts. But a friend introduced me this snacks in a small pouch. But as days goes by, I realized that I forgot to eat my lunch and dinner because of this. On my first week I got a cracked prickly lips and felt dehydrated, maybe due to high sodium content of a ready to eat Sunflower seeds in a pouch. Good Thing, I went to a mall where you can buy per kilograms and it's more cheaper and no sodium; basically you're going to toast it for a while before start eating, in this case you can control the amount of salt while toasting. Does anyone here snacks this kind of seeds? Or anyone knows the health benefits?

I find it more enjoyable than peanuts or those that you dont have to take out from a shell. Plus sunflower seeds smell so good while the squash shells taste good.

I like sunflower seeds but I rarely eat them because they have a lot of sodium on them. I prefer to eat the barbecue flavored ones.
