Mercury is boiling!

June 27, 2016 2:55am CST
Now this is unheard or more precisely un-felt (God knows if this word even exists) of in a place like Assam. Assam is a pleasant temperate place where even in the heights of Summer, the mercury barely breaches the mark of 35-37 degree celsius. But for the past 3-4 years the temperature has been increasing constantly and this year...well it's not even July yet and the mercury has started to boil! Could it be because the "global meltdown" has been initiated already? Is it because GLOBAL WARMING is finally making its presence felt? Could it be? photo courtesy- skynetweather

Every season has become extreme, its too hot in summers, to much rain in rainy season and too cold in winter

@Umesh_K True. Some people say it is because of the HAARP experiment.

@The_Bong_Woman and what does that mean?
27 Jun 16
@Umesh_K I too am not 100% sure about it but I can tell you this much that it seeks to alter and manipulate the weather on a global scale. And some say it has been pretty successful upto this point. The drastic weather conditions we've been experiencing lately is accredited to this experiment by many a folks.

@SIMPLYD Totally agreed. Things definitely aren't looking great as far as the global weather conditions are concerned.

@SIMPLYD There are many people who are concerned about the fast degrading environmental conditions of Earth but there are many more who simply do not care. As long as we do not come together and work together to mitigate the excesses of environmental pollution, the future looks very bleak. Very.

A few years ago I remember I can deal with the heat even inside the house. But now the temperature is really high. I can't stay all day long inside an air condition room because my work is outside. I think we produced too much cars and motorcycles these past decade that helped contribute to greenhouse gas levels. Too much waste and consumption of electricity play a role as well.

@corvinus Absolutely! We paid a tad too much attention to our leisure and pleasures and turned a blind eye on the harm that was being done to the Environment. And now we are paying a price for all of that!

@skysnap Well I hail from Assam so I am not exactly sure about the weather in Bengal but from what I've heard from my friends and acquaintances, it sucks even more there.
27 Jun 16
@skysnap Yes, and even when it does rain it has little to no effect on the heat. The temperature keeps soaring like always.

Certainly the weather and climate seems to be becoming more and more bizarre lately.

@The_Bong_Woman It is hard to judge what the weather is going to do nowadays.

@JudyEv True. There was a time when the elders in my house would look at the sky and with an uncanny confidence state the exact number of days it will take the spring to approach. But now it's nowhere close to that!

Not being an expert on the subject, I really don't know the answer to this.

It's alright I know it becomes tough at times to speak on matters like this but I think you will agree with me that things aren't looking too bright as far the global environment looks and that we need to be more aware and concerned about our changing environment.

The weather does seem to be going crazy in lots of places on the earth.

@jaboUK Yes, and it becomes very difficult for the peasants and farmers to regulate their activities when they can never be sure of the weather. They are used to living 'in harmony' with Nature and now they are suffering a lot due to the uncertainties of the weather.

Who knows what is causing it. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy some of your temperate temperatures soon.

@paigea yes, I am actually beginning to enjoy some good weather now. The temperature has gone down a bit ( a very little bit) owing to the timely showers of the season.

sj3011 Absolutely. Call it my wishful thinking but I wish if only we could have borrowed a little from the Ice Age.
