Nobody can tell the truth of life. You just have to experience it. No necessary to follow any religion.But if you follow a particular religion you will be disciplined in life.

Well I wont take this opportunity to advance a particular religion. I think all religion mention that you should be nice to other human and etc. I think to understand a religion you need to read the scriptures (if its available). Once you read, you understand what the religion is and becomes easy for you to follow. Trust me everyone would say their religion is the best and you should follow that but I would like you to follow what you believe in and not what others believe in.

@Colo21 as we all know there is more than one religion. I know reading is time consuming so I would suggest you read about all religion, may be online in brief, and then you can take a decision of what you should follow.
