We gobbled localy grown Bing cherries last week. This week I spotted a guy setting up a stand on the side of the road. His sign said apricots and cherries.
I investigated further. Cherries were pricey and not super great looking. Apricots? Nice sized and if I bought 4 pounds, sold at 1.50 a pound. I bought 4 pounds. Turned out that some were almost ripe and others were perfect. I need to buy more so that I can freeze some for the winter.
Summer here means first cherries then apricots and then we move on to peaches and nectarines and melons. I'm ready to buy more cherries, too, before they are gone for the year.

@modernDayWriter What kinds of melons? Juicy fruit is so tasty when it is hot out.

I love bing cherries but they have been expensive in the supermarket so I'm hoping they come down in price before the season ends

The news last night talked about the abundance of cherries in Green Bluff. They said the trees were so full of them the lower branch were nearly touching the ground. If I eat cherries I get sick so they are not for me. And don't feed me bananas either.
