Am I That Easy To Forget?

I had a student friend in the other school. That time she had an American boyfriend she met on line. At first I got mad at her for she was always absent in class.She explained to me that she was meeting her bf in Manila.Then she graduated from her Marketing course.She always invited to stroll in the mall. She is a very pretty student no wonder that California man came to propose marriage. Lyn showed me her promise ring.The guy filed her a Fiancee visa, then after 7 months, she left for California. They married there in California , and after 1 year she and her husband went back to Ph to marry in church.I was there.Every time Lyn went home there is something for me. We also chat in Skype and Facebook. She has business on line buy and sell through Facebook and through that she became rich. Her husband is also rich.The gradually she forgot me. The always come home in Ph once a year. Two months ago, she and her husband were here.I greeted her in Facebook saying Hi Lyn? Welcome home! Never did she reply me.They went back home to Cali last week. I have learned from her other friends that she changed after she became rich. I do not have a hard feeling, I just wonder why are there people that tend to forget the past.They forgot that without past, there is no present and future.May she prosper in her own way of change. It's too bad that people act like this, but they do. What can I say but, let her go? You have friends who treat you better than that, I'm sure.

@brokenbee, It might be, but last year she promised me we'll meet this year. She might be too busy and prioritized her family. It's okay if she's changed what is important is she has a new life. Actually she graduated working student and it was her her husband now who spent all her college studies.She was very poor.They do not have a home, they just squat, that is why she longed to change her life and her family.

A person who is a friend when not rich then becomes rich is no longer a friend is not a True Friend. How sad she didn't feel she could answer you on facebook. I would forget about her and someday she will find she has treated people wrong. Karma you know.

Something a friend may say inadvertently may hurt so much that distance can come. It probably has nothing to do with her wealth, but more to do with some remark that has been misunderstood.

Could it be she changed because she found out who her real friends were ? Meaning , some friends are there because they need something from her because she's now rich ? But if it's because she really changed , just as you said she didn't answer your greeting at FB , i hope she will one day realize she shouldn't be like that , but be the more humble because she now is rich already .

Lyn was my former student in college, and she can cross her finger to tell everyone that without my help she can never graduate. I helped her negotiate her grades to her teachers who are also my friends.She owns now a very nice house in CDO situated in millionaire's row plus expensive cars bought for her parents. They also have a very nice mansion in California. yes, she is happy now, but richness on earth will not be brought in heaven.
