Decreasing poetry readers is disheartening

In today's fiction crazy world, the number of readers of poetry is reducing day by day and that is not something encouraging as we know the beauty and flair that this language of its own portrays and has been portraying, as did its greats. What do you think?

I do agree that the readers are dwindling but I have been to poetry reading events and I have seen its popularity. People might not be reading more poetry because they are getting their poetry-fix in another form. Still, nothing beats reading poems straight from a book.

Poetry still thrives but people watch them now, poets get famous on Youtube reciting them, the video I embeded is one of the most famous poets on Youtube.
