Is Viz Media stuck on Stupid?

Is Viz Media stuck on stupid? For the past two years or so to my knowledge Naruto Shippuden has been a filler marathon. And last I checked Bleach got cancelled becaue the filler episodes caused a drop in ratings. People don't like filler arcs and episodes, especially how boring they tend to be! I'm guessing Viz is banking on Naruto's popularity to keep the anime afloat so they can keep milking it. So who knows, I might be wrong, and the anime will finish its entire run. But I really about it.

Naruto even have fillers within fillers. I just finished Naruto by watching the storymode playthrough of a video game . I have nothing against fillers as my favorite story arc in Sailormoon is a filler Arc. Naruto actually have some good fillers but the Shipuden fillers are painful. I think 7 fillers a season is enough but the fillers Naruto is getting is sickening.

@Hanyouyomi yeah the filler arcs of Sailormoon felt naturally part of the story. The 7 Youkai Saga is the greatest filler arc I ever watched and I heard the Shonen Anime Zenki got inspiration from it... (Zenki is one of the best 90's anime ever) Yeah the fillers of Naruto these days felt like an optional crap you can skip. I bet if Jojo got adapted at the same time as the manga was ongoing, it would have been filled with fillers too. Naruto's filler ratio is 30 to 5 canon episode.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Yeah, I like the Sailor-Moon filler arcs too, but they managed to stay relevant to the story and theme of the series. That's not the case with some of Naruto or One-Piece's filler episodes. Which is maddening, and some tend to be rather boring, which I don't like. I do intend to make a video regarding my opinions in filler in anime after I get my harddrive reformatted, but it just feels to me like the filler-fest is being done to milk the series.

@CaptAlbertWhisker "The Seven Youkai..." Wow, that's what I get for not finishing the Japanese or Viz dubs, because in the DiC dub they were simply called "Rainbow Crystals." All the monster reason to finish those dubs. Also please don't put such a horrifying thought in my head such as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure having bad filler episodes... That's just...*shivers* Not a pleasant thing to invision. And personally something I have a problem with when it comes to Naruto's filler episodes. They're outright skippable, as I was doing just that before I started having harddrive issues. And there are several people on youtube at least who've voiced their frustrations. But this disproves my point for the time being, as Peirrot seems to know what they're doing by relying on the fandom's faith in the franchise. But then I'm wondering, given the reception to how the manga ended, why are they sticking around to see it animated?

I'm not against Viz at all. They are just the ones that dub and show it to us. The people that animate the show make the fillers and milk it. I haven't watched Naruto in almost a year because of the dam fillers. I know the manga just ended and with a new Naruto story coming out. I'm pretty much over it lol.

@DanieGirl80587 Again oversight on My part, as Pierrot are the idiots responsible for milking this franchise. But that leaves me with a burning question:"DON'T BUSINESSES PAY ATTENTION WHAT CAUSES THEIR COMPETATORS TO FALTOR?!" I mean Bleach's filler hurt their ratings. Is Pierrot confident that the same won't happen to Naruto, or is the fandom loyal enough to stick around until they continue the main story?

@Hanyouyomi The fandom is pretty loyal and they know it. I'm sure the anime will finish since it's been going on for so long. I'm sure they will finish it since the manga is already done.

@DanieGirl80587 The manga's been done since 2014, and laqst I heard the filler-fest will end in 2017. We briefly apparently got some canon episodes, before it went back to filler. And there's no telling,(at least not to my knowledge anyway) when the filler will end.

VIZ isn't the studio that is producing the show. They're just the ones who translate it into English and distribute it in the US.

@yukimori That's an ignorant oversight on my part, but my question remins:"Are these people stuck on stupid?" But if the Japanese viewership remains steady for Naruto then they should be fine.

**SPOILERS** I watch it with my siblings. As soon as the Infinite Tsukuyomi started, we realized it was just the show's way of showing endless filters under the guise of everyone's dream. It's really annoying, because what should've ended a long time ago hasn't yet!

@essennyo Yeah, I've only heard about that, but I haven't seen it yet. And I've seen a few express their frustrations on youtube. Note that I said:"A few" meaning either the rest are toughing it out, or actually watching the endless filler. But since Japanese studios only pay attention to the local audience, chances are there's enough still watching to keep the show on the air... To which I'm not sure what to say to that.

@essennyo Yeah, that's al we can do until 2017... Just tough it out, and keep our ears to the ground by checking social media, anime forums or youtube for any word on the filler coming to an end. Though I heard some time ago, I think in March that some of the episodes airing around that time would be canon, before they went back to filler. Did you see those few episodes?
