Unable to see the Sunset

I, along with my family, was on a hill station last month. There was a hill point to see the Sunset. We Planned the timings correctly, so we were there 30 minutes before the sunset. But a huge cloud arrived and created rain and mist as you can see in the photo. Forget the Sunset, we were unable to see the nearest trees properly. So, it is not only planning but luck also is required many times to get what we want.
