Good Work Ethic

Whether you are head in the corporate world or a laborer of a company, a good work ethic is key for getting merit raises and bonuses and even promotions within the company you work for. I found it necessary to mind my own job and not try to outdo my coworkers. When I got raises, I usually got seven percent raises. I heard people talking and griping about their raises because they got 5% or 2%. I learned right quick to follow the rules and not say what my raise was. I've been asked what kind of raise I got and I kept my mouth shut. I reminded them the merit raise is based on their production in time and caretaking. They would get ticked off because I wouldn't share my raise. There would have been at least another world war. A family member is very professional in his job. He meets rge store receivers with a smile, and does his computer invoice of what he is delivering. He straightens out the store freezers where the customers mull it over. He doesn't complain. He is quick and efficient. He gets done and signs out and goes to his next stop. He was recently told that when the next supervisor job comes open, it is his. I know his work ethic got him this coming up raise.

If one works hard enough they'll obtain what's deserved. Promotions are a way of showing appreciation for doing a fantastic job. Keep up the good work.
