Dallas Police Chief David Brown has a heavy burden to carry

I watched the press conference today while sitting in the waiting room of the breast cancer examination clinic at Parkland. The regularly scheduled talk show on NBC was preempted by a life video feed from the City of Dallas of Dallas Police Chief David Brown. The words were sound and straightforward as well as matter of fact. Even though the man behind the badge is feeling worn thin he shows great leadership and confidence. He needs a break and I think we owe it to him to let him take time to grieve his losses. After all he has just lost many men on his watch and many others' families are in mourning. If we all can hold it together and maintain courage and strength, I think we can show the Chief support as well as all the officers and their families who suffered a major loss on lat Thursday's ambush in Downtown Dallas. Here is a link to an article relevant to this discussion From the Dallas Morning News:
In a Parkland Hospital hall, David Brown put his arms around a man who had just lost his son-in-law, a Dallas cop.

@lookatdesktop now it the time to show support to the brave men and women of the police force. A few bad apples cannot rot the whole system.

There's a lot on his plate. That's apart of the job and it's so unfortunate that so many tragic events are occurring Law Enforcement certainly has their hands full. Prayers for the fallen Police Officers families and also for the shooters family as well. They're grieving as well. It's unfortunate that the burdens of the shooters actions lay upon his parents and family as well.

I think it is good to realise even senior police officers are not sponges. They can't soak up everything without things eventually becoming too much.

I think this is so very on point. Yet I fear he may make an impulsive decision to leave office before having a chance to let the situation run it's course. If he stays the course, he will be able to pull through, I believe.
