This morning when I woke up it was cloudy and the sun was hiding. I thought to myself what a wonderful thing that was. I thought it might be a little cooler because of that. That's what I get for thinking. The temperature is already up in the 90's. Oh well it means another day inside. I guess I will be writing, reading, and designing today. Designing what? I think I will design a Christmas cross stitch ornament. Yes, Christmas. When you make patterns and such you need to do it before the season so people have time to make it. Right now I am going to go have a cup of coffee and then get busy. She you all a little later.

I must have read your next post first as I'm sure you've designed a cross stitch pattern.

@HazySue That's sounds a clever thing to do but then I make up crochet patterns and garments without using a commercial pattern so I guess it's not much different.

@JudyEv I crochet but I am not crafty enough to be able to make patterns. I envy you.

@JudyEv I do design cross stitch patterns as often as I can. It may have been a different one.

Designing when it is hot is a good idea, trying to sew when it is hot is not so good. Threads get stuck to wet hands. I find it hard to be creative in any way when the weather is really hot.

@41CombedaleRoad I will design a pattern today but not stitch it until tonight when it starts cooling down. You are absolutely right my hands would stick to and pull the thread.

That often happens here in the morning when it is overcast then it burns off mid morning and the heat sets in.

@JohnRoberts it gets super hot here. Even when it is overcast it is humid and sticky.
