Patriotic Indian Akshay Kumar has a Canadian citizenship

I stumbled upon this information and was surprised to know that Akshay Kumar, who is a renowned Indian film actor, has a Canadian citizenship. India does not allow dual citizenship and hence he must have surrendered his Indian passport. Seems like Akshay Kumar is not patriotic after all. The news item below talks about many lost Canadians who are struggling to get a citizenship while Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar got it within weeks.
Canadians who spent decades in the country remain without citizenship.

Oh my! I love Akshay Kumar. No matter his citizenship, I still admire him as an actor. The fact that he's Canadian and pulled off being a native son of India proves he can act! Hey! In America, John Wayne is praised for being a brave soldier and he never served in the military. (That's what I heard.) Akshay Kumar could be a Martian from Mars. I don't care! Love the guy!! For me, when it comes to entertainment and education, the world has no borders.
