Good company, music and little wine

Along with our neighbor and friend, Janet, we went to Sarver Winery last night at 5 PM to see some of our favorite musicians. The piano man, Gus, played at out wedding seven years ago this month. Laurie, the singer, teaches third grade at a small town school twenty miles south of here and is one of the best singers I have heard anywhere. Jim, the drummer teaches high school in town.
Anne and Janet packed a picnic, and we stayed until the music stopped at 8 PM. I was happy to hear them play some songs I had recommended to them too, such as the old Ella Fitzgerald cross-over hit, "Like Young."
It was a great evening. Now, for a short day at work, 11 to 4.

You have lots of opportunities for entertainment where you live. You're pretty lucky. Keep telling us about them. They make us happy and envious at the same time.

@JamesHxstatic Here, there are bars which play music, but mostly it is loud and unpleasant fare. Bummer.
