...or, perhaps, a god. Because it's burned. And you only give burnt offerings to a deity, right? sigh. Don't ya'll just hate that moment when you realize that bad smell you're smelling is not the baby's dirty diaper...but dinner cooking in the crock pot? I guess I better go check it out and make sure it's not completely ruined. Otherwise, we'll be having pizza again. And I know the kids will all just hate that.

Sounds like maybe the kids sneaked in and turned up the crock pot to high so they could have pizza.

I am not having luck finding a recipe that turns out nicely in the crockpot. So, my husband said he's taking over that. Oh, that is a success!

Turns out it was just the odd combo finally putting out its scent. It didn't smell very good, but it turned out all right. I prefer baking over cooking!

gigglin' :) tryin' to figure how ya burnt somethin'n the crock pot?? yepperz, those young'uns'd not mind pizza. they seem to hit'n age where that's purty much the only food group they love, eh?

Me too. I could eat pizza every day!! Thankfully, it wasn't really burned. It just smelled something awful and looked bizarre...but it tasted okay.

Do not eat burned food, it's very bad for the health, a pizza sounds a better alternative.

Carcinogenic, right? Turns out I was wrong...it wasn't burned. It just smelled baaaaad. Tasted okay though.

@Genipher LOL at least it was only the smell that was unpleasant. It seems that burned food is carcinogenic, at least this is what they tell us.

What a shame supper burned in the crock pot. I hope you were able to salvage it and the kids didn't need to have pizza again. I know how much kids just hate pizza.
