Talking about Costco

I just finished responding to another discussion about Costco and this story just popped into my head. A couple were in line just a little in front of me and they had a sheet cake in their hands. What I found interesting was the fact that half of it was eaten. Were they trying to return the cake... after they had eaten half of it. Now working at the returns counter just might make for interesting conversations around the dinner table lol. I never did find out, but they walked out with a smile on their face and no cake in their hand!

Maybe it tasted bad or something. You could imagine all sorts of things.

the funny think was the fact that they ate at least half of it. A slice maybe but half the cake lol?

It was half eaten? I am surprised they took it back.

@Hate2Iron What came to mind for me was that they ate half of it, wasn't going to eat the rest and wanted their money back. if the cake truly had been rancid then wouldn't they have placed the remaining piece (even if half eaten) back into the box to show that it wasn't edible?

That's weird. Maybe they knew someone that works there and was giving the cake to them.
