How often you say the truth?

There's no perfect human being, everyone has lied at least once in their life.. We can't always say the truth, but we SHOULD mostly of our time. So do you often say the truth? People sometimes are forced to say the opposite for many reasons. To avoid hurting someone's feelings. Or sometimes it's the human instinct to get out of a certain situation and you have to lie.

When I was in school, I told the truth. After graduate, I learned to tell what people want.

Exactly my friend. You understood my post. Mostly we say what people want to hear, otherwise they don't accept the truth

I would say all the time but then I'll be lying! I try to say the truth and if doesn't work, I say a half-truth or a white lie.

I try to be truthful as much as I can. Luckily my boyfriend and I have a very open relationship meaning we can tell each other literally anything! Even if something is "hurtful" we are able to have that dialogue. For an example, my weight has been a current topic because I need to lose weight but he's been nice enough with motivating me to get on a workout schedule instead of just telling me I'm fat etc.

@supervalon It sure is. I've never been in a relationship like this and I must say it's very refreshing. I hope it lasts because I think he's just the greatest.

Ideally everyone should speak truth but it is not easy. I have lied many times and the biggest isse with lying is that you have to remember it always. If you speak truth, you dont have to remember. SOmetimes, lying will cost you relationship. That is why, now I lie from my wife only that I dont smoke..

yes haha, but you should somehow tell her soon, because if she learn that you smoke from someone else, it will hurt her more. So better let her find out from you

It depends on the situation. Is it someone I care about and I don't want to hurt their feelings? Or is it someone I don't care about and I just don't care if I lie to them?

I speak the truth most of the time. If it is a comment that may hurt, most of the time, I would reserve my comments... so when my friends ask me something, if they get an answer, it is definitely true. if they hear me saying "I reserve my comments" or changing the subject..they probably know what I think..
