Before leaving for a trip

What are some things you like to do before you leave for a trip even if it's just for a weekend? I like to make sure that I've done a lot of laundry so when I come back I don't have a ton to do for a while. Also making sure there are no dirty dishes in the sink as well as all the trash out. Who wants dirty dishes and stinky trash?
