Generation gap

July 20, 2016 2:59am CST
There exists always generation gap among people of different age groups. The tastes, lifestyle, thoughts and behaviour differ. To bridge the generation gap, I think mature people should mingle with the youngsters up to their level and should share their experience in a gentle way. It will be helpful for them instead if there is a distance between them always. Whats your opinion on this?

Age gap creates differences. Most of the time, it is difficult to mingle with people who are older or younger than us. Why? Because of age gap, we have different choices in life, our likes and dislikes, our type of topics and many other things. I hesitate to mingle with them because I will just become out of place or cannot relate to them.

@meenakaruna Yes, you're right. We should try because by doing that we could also know them.

True. If the topic they are discussing is Cricket, I can not be there to discuss because that topic is not interesting to me and I can not join. But if the topic is music which I likes, though I may not be interested in latest music and my interest is only traditional, I can learn some some thing about latest music and try to participate. Thats what I try to say. Do you agree with this?

I always feel that there has to be someone in the age group which would be between the generation gap. I will give an example. I have noticed a big gap in thinking between a 60 yr old and a 30 yr old. So if there is someone of 45 yr old, that person can understand both the 60 yr old as well as the 30 yr old and as you rightly mentioned in your post , bridge the generation gap.

@meenakaruna It is easier to communicate to such a person by both the generation.
