Family Reunion

Today we invited all of the family members on my wife's side to come to our house for lunch and dinner. My wife is the chef to do the cooking and my mother-in-law helps a lot as well. It is a great pleasure for a big family to get together after our staying away from our hometown for a few months. It helps strengthen the family tie. Right now my wife is starting to cook dinner in the kitchen. She is a great chef and everyone loves the dish cooked by her. Do you sometimes have some kind of family reunion besides some traditional festivals? Your ideas are welcome with thanks. Have a good time!

Home cooking is a better idea than going to restaurants especially if one has a chef for a wife.

Seeing each other around is also good for us. Sometimes we just go to visit our relatives after dinner and have some small talk, which helps bind our family relationship.

Every January 1 we celebrate our grandmother birthday and served as our grand reunion. All the member of the family are there and most of the girls are the one cooking while the boys are eating, drinking and singing. I came also in a big family and reunion is one of the best time to communicate to each other. Also all of us need to prepare a dance number and join in every activity.

Yes we have a family reunion once a year. I usually do a cold buffet as we have it in the summer, and everyone spills out into the garden
