Jayson Jenks reports the news the Seattle Mariners have activated from the 15 day disabled list right handed starting pitcher Felix Hernandez on Wednesday.
Hernandez had been placed on the 15 day disabled list with a strain of his right calf on June 1, 2016. Hernandez has a pitching record of four wins and four losses with an earned run average of 2.86 in 10 starts during the 2016 baseball season.
Hernandez had pitched in rehabilitation games for the Everett Aqua Sox which is the Class A team of the Mariners. Hernandez was pitching for the Tacoma Rainiers which is the AAA minor league team of the parent team when he was promoted to join the team on Wednesday
Hernandez will be joining his teammates outfielder Nori Aoki and catcher Mike Zunino on the Mariners 25 man active roster in Seattle on Wednesday.
To make room for Hernandez, Aoki and Zunino, the Mariners sent to Tacoma left handed relief pitcher Daniel Robertson, catcher Jesus Sucre and outfielder Daniel Robertson.
Hernandez is the ace starting pitcher of the Mariners. His return to the team will increase the chances of the Mariners making a playoff run this year.

Hopefully better than ever one of his dreams is to pitch in a playoff game.
