A Different Perspective

When I joined here, my main motivation was to earn money. Don't get me wrong. I love writing. I love sharing ideas. But I viewed mylot before as a way to earn money. And because I viewed it this way, I became less active here. Why? Because I work in a website wherein I could earn more money.
But now, things have change. I am viewing mylot now not as a source of money, but a source of enjoyment and meeting new people. This is a good stress reliever. Instead of spending too much time in Facebook, I will spend more time here. I could learn a lot of things in this site. And hopefully, gain more friends.
I'm just so excited to be back in being active here.

I definitely think that's the best way to look at it. I don't worry whether I get paid every month because I only come here when I'm looking for a place to meet up with old online friends and discuss topics which interest me. I won't comment just because I hope it will earn me a little extra money.

@else34 Yup you are right. The monetary benefits is just the consolation for being active here. But the most important thing here for me is the fun and excitement of meeting new friends from different countries, exchanging ideas with them and learning a lot from the experience of other people.

I was trying to understand the part about you work in a website where you could earn more money and was wondering does that mean you make money with FB or do something online that generates a decent amount of cash now or was considering it. Anyway, I understand the social part here and how that can be rewarding as well.

If you can do enough so that it adds up @allenjames then that is a credit to you. For sure working on the computer specially while at home does give us freedom to pick and choose and we can manage our time where it works for us.

No. I don't make money with FB. I am making money working in several sites. It's not that much. But I am making enough money to provide for my basic needs. I don't have an offline job. I only do online jobs. But I like working online because of the time flexibility and the challenge of increasing my income online.

I have friends here and that's why I keep coming back. I like making money as much as the next guy, but the little bit I make here is not worth the time I put in. If that was all I got out of it, I would have dropped out long ago.
