I think there is no easy kind of relationship. The success of a relationship depends not on the distance but on the two persons involved. I have been in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years now. We broke up once but after few months decided to return to each other again. We needed the space to think and to reflect. Our broke up just made us stronger individuals more committed to working for our relationship. At present, we are more understanding toward each other. We have lesser fights. We are both busy persons but we have learned to trust each other more for love cannot really live without trust at all.

@youless Thank you. We are working on it every day and always try to understand each other. I think since we are both busy persons, it becomes easier for us to understand each other.

Its a risk like in all relationships. I agree you do not have the advantage of double checking what is said online as in the case of dating someone near you.

Frankly, it is not easy to have the long distance relationship. Sooner or later it will fail unless one of them sacrifices his/her own life for another. And this is a big sacrifice. He/she may have to give up his/her study, work, friends, family etc. Hopefully it is worth.

@shubhampandey If you tried the long distance, you will understand it. In fact the love relationship is already not easy, but long distance relationship makes it much more difficult and complicated.

Think of it like watching some TV actress or actor and imagining things. I don't believe in long distance relationship unless you meet atleast once.

I've never been in long distance relationship but I think LDR needs a very strong trust to each other and need an effort to communicate even in a long distance.

It totally depends on the persons involved, their understanding and what they want, how sincerely they take their relation. When both the parties involved have faith in each other and keep themselves loyal, long distance relationship can be as good as any normal relationship.

Long distance relationships will work if both parties to the relationship are committed and wants to be with each other.

@shubhampandey Decision has to be mutual. There is no point of single handed decision.
