It's HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

Temperatures in the high nineties again today, with the heat index over 100F. We had a storm last night that cooled things down some but this heat just won’t go away, it seems.
I just can’t remember things being this hot when I was younger. Of course, I lived in another state when I was a child. But, even that state is having these high temperatures now.
I really need to run some errands and go grocery shopping, but it is just too hot outside. I’m hoping that this evening when the sun goes down I can run to the grocery store.
Is it hot where you live?
We had a really cold winter and now a really HOT summer. These extreme temperatures are really difficult to deal with, I think. That’s why my favorite season is the Fall of the year. Spring is nice too, temperature wise, but I despise all the bugs and bees that come along with the flowers, which are so beautiful.

@IreneVincent We have been having the promise of rain storms that do not materialise, or those where we get the rain but the storm last a tenth of the time it was predicted to. Our land is hurting, but that said I now think we could have a brilliant year for the local wineries.

@pgiblett Don't grape vineyards need a lot of rain, or do they prefer the drier weather? We have a lot of small wineries in Virginia. They are popping up all over the place.

Amazingly enough, our grass is still very green, but before this "heat wave" began we were 7 inches of rain above where we normally would be this time of the year and we're still getting rain in the form of summer storms almost every night.

@IreneVincent,I love all seasons.Now we have rainy season.It had been continuously raining here for a couple of days.Today was sunny,but it was not hot.

We only have two - dry & wet season. I love both. It should be the rainy season but it only rains at night and it's a bit warm during daytime.
