Do you get along with your neighbours?

Maybe you live in a house.. Or a townhouse.. Or an apartment, or something similar. How do you like your neighbours? Do you get along with them, or do you have nothing but problems? Or maybe something in between, yes? Personally, I live in a small apartment building, that only has three other people living in it than myself (one person in each place, on each floor.. Yes, it's a pretty good deal). Anyways, all my neighbours, we get along very very well, we are good friends, I would say. It wasn't always this way, when I first moved in, with the neighbour situation, however! Image from Pixabay.

We never get a chamce to talk to our neighbors. Actually they are snob. Whenever they are out of their door and saw us that we are about to go to use the elevator, they will surely be going back to their house. It seem that they do not want us to breath the same air inside the lift. haha! Racial issues still exist guys! This is a hard truth.

@wiLLmaH Alright. Yes, I agree, but these things still never should have happened in the first place.

Oh really? Sorry to hear that. I hate snobby people. And yes, you're right about racial issues, it's terribly sad!

@mawdest It is okay.. Well, I am just hoping no one will do that on them. So they cannot feel how bad it is..

Ouch! Are your neighbours that bad! I know that when I was still living at home with my parents a few years back (before they moved to the country) they were having pretty bad problems with their neighbours... They were just super loud and obnoxious in far too many ways. I am glad my parents moved out to the country though, they have a nice place now :) Yes, I am very glad too, thank you very much! :)

That's nice you have such a good relationship with your neighbors. Actually here we almost don't know our neighbors. As we hardly have time to meet each other. Even if we meet in the lift, we will just say hello and that's all.

@mawdest Today people are busy to work. We leave in the morning and go back home at night. This is why we hardly have a chance to meet our neighbors.

Yes, I agree, I am very lucky and I love it! Ah, fair enough. It all depends on how much free time everyone has, doesn't it?

I live in an apartment. We are on the third floor 302. Each floor has three spacious units. The building is up to fourth floor. We've been there for 5 years already. The only neighbor that I can get along well with is the one in 301. The others, I don't even know their names. I just know them by their face.

Hey, guess what? I am on the third floor at my apartment too! :) Well that sounds quite nice. Darn, sorry to hear about your neighbour problems! Yeah, I'm pretty bad with names at times, even after I have met someone, I will usually forget their name unless there's a good reason for it to have stuck with me haha.

@mawdest The reason why I don't know their names, because we don't talk to each other. we just look at each other every time we meet in the hallway.

I don't chit chat with my neighbours since I am not home most of the time, but when I recognise one of them on the street waiting for a public transport, I often ofter a ride.

Been living in my place for more than 5 years. I don't know the names of the tenantcs/occupants of the units beside me though I've seen the faces of some. I don't speak with my neighbors. I'm a workaholic person. When I get home, I want to immediately rest. I have no time to talk to anybody.

Ahh, you have been there a while. I have been at my apartment for 3 years now! Well, fair enough. I am not a workaholic what-so-ever, but I can relate in the sense that I USED to be like that, where my neighbours would be outside all talking, and I would just go inside the apartment, not wanting to socialize with anyone. That is not really the case anymore, they invite me to talk with them, and I find it quite nice, even if there is a big age difference between us all haha.

I live in a village where there are different types of person. We live here for so long, in fact this is my birthplace, therefore since we are here, we never get along with any conflicts with our neighborhood until we have transfer by the another lot which near from our past home. We a got a bad attitude neighbor and very scandalous person.

I live in a hours with four other people (we each have a bedroom, we share bathroom and kitchen); I get on very well with two of them that I didn't get on too well with at the start of the tenancy, and the other two that I used to get on with I'm now not as close to. It's a weird twist that I wouldn't have seen coming, but I'm much happier now. As for the houses either side, we don't actually have any dealings with them other than taking in each others' deliveries when people aren't home. They seem nice enough, but we don't talk.

That sounds like a pretty decent deal! :) I am glad you are happier now! Growing up, when I was living with my parents and my brother, it was a bit of an annoying situation.. Living in close quarters like that and the house was not that big.. Especially for three big full grown men and my mother. Then, I continued to keep living there after high school was done, for a few more years.. Until I was given the ultimatum to have to move out at age 22. I was scared to go but when I finally moved and got all settled in, I couldn't have been happier with how it all went down. Anyways, I am really glad your neighbours/housemates or whatever they may be called, that you guys pretty much get along :))
