Got My Computer

This time I was up early just in case he arrived early, and when my son left, I left the door open to let him know I was home.
The computer arrived just a few minutes ago and I'm sooooo happy! Could be an understatement.
I really want to get it set up right now, but I'm going to be patient. I sign the lease tomorrow, pay the rent, and get the keys. It's just one more day. Well maybe more than that since I also need to wait until AT&T does their thing on Monday afternoon. Still I can be patient. Yes I can. I know I don't have a lot of patience, but I'm going to force myself to do nothing more than LOOK at those boxes until I take them over to the apartment and unpack them.
What, you don't believe me? I can do it. I will do it. Patience will be my middle name from now on.
Okay, time for me to get off here and get packing. I have a lot I want to accomplish today. Talk to you later.

That's exciting. I don't blame you for being impatient, but it'll be great when you get moved and unpacked.

Yes, and I'm so happy to finally have it. My next big item arrives at the new apartment next week - my new mattress. No more sagging edges.

I got more accomplished today, and will get more done tomorrow after I sign the lease and get the keys. Looking at the time, that's today.

@Jessicalynnt I'm not buying a new desk. I'm going to use the one I was using before as an extension as noted. I have plenty of room for it to do what I want. Yes, it is comfortable. What's not comfortable is the chair I'm sitting on. I can't wait to get my office chair over here.

Not yet. I thought of it, even looked at some on Mayfair.com. They're very reasonable. We'll see. Right now I'm going to put Chippy Jr. on my drafting table and use this desk as an el extension. It's really too small for this computer. So we'll see how it all works out. It won't be the first time I used the drafting table as my computer desk and it does have plenty of room on it.

@just4him It's also so much safer for moving the computer. When I moved, I had my husband's computer in a briefcase and my computer was with me the whole time. And they both moved perfectly. But having the new one in the box is the best way to move it to make sure it makes it there in one piece!

@CRK109 I set up my computer yesterday at the new apartment. Now I'm only waiting for AT&T to arrive tomorrow to get everything hooked up and I will be on the new computer from now on. So until I'm completely moved in, my time on the computer will be vastly limited to my time in the apartment.

It would drive me nuts to wait but I would as well. It will be easier and safer to transport your computer in the boxes.

I am happy for you I am supposed to get my computer back this weekend. I know what it feels like to have to wait. I just moved and I am still unpacking. It took two weeks for the internet company to come and set our service up.
This has been one of the busiest summers I have had in a long time. First I went on a vacation then came back from vacation and have to go right back to work the same morning of arrival. Get back and pack now unpack its just busy busy busy.

@just4him thank you I actually got the computer back today it was not my computer it was a better replacement a laptop and all of my stuff luckily was transfered to my laptop which is what I had planned to get after I had gotten the desktop back but this is just as good to me.
