Steve Adams reports the news the Miami Marlins have reinstated from his 80 game suspension for use of performance enhancing drugs second baseman Dee Gordon on Thursday. Gordon had been suspended by officials of Major League Baseball for 80 games on April 29, 2016 for violating the drug policy of the league when he flunked a drug test for exogenous testosterone and clostebol. The Marlins have designated for assignment utility infielder Don Kelly to make room for Gordon on their 25 man active roster on Thursday. Gordon will replace second baseman Derek Dietrich as their second baseman starting on Thursday when the Marlins will be hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at Marlins Park for a four game series. Dietrich will share first base duties with Chris Johnson for the time being until first baseman Justin Bour who is currently on the 15 day disabled list with a sprain on his right ankle since July 28. 2016 returns to the team.

We will now see what kind of hitter Gordon is. Will he be the disappointment as he was with the Dodgers or the batting champ with Miami which now is attributed to using PEDS.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my story. You have a very good point if Gordon is the real deal or a flash in the pan.
