Love me a word twist

The exchange on the buy and sell site reminded me of an old time taffy pull. A gorgeous antique dresser and mirror was up for sale. Drop dead oak lovely. A lady wrote: "If I wasn't so broke I'd buy it." A couple of days later another lady came on and wrote: "Where's it broke?" I could not resist. I hit the like button.

How funny. What's a taffy pull?

@jaboUK Home made candy. The candy is cooled a little and then its pulled and pulled to make the hard candy more elastic and more chewy- the candy is coated with butter. It used to be a family activity, especially at Christmas.

Well, I'm broke so I can't buy things I want. My eye glasses broke yesterday. The same word with different meanings.
