What do you think? As we all know before Facebook we started our journey with Orkut may be. But since the time passes by, Facebook become popular and nowadays everybody using FB and Orkut was shutdown. What do you think, In future there is a chance of some new social networking site which can shut down FB? In my opinion, I don't think so.

Facebook is not God. Its just a business platform created by men. Everything has an end and the same applies to Facebook.

I agree, its a law of nature, what goes up has to come down sooner or later. I remember discussing same about orkut, people saying that it will remain forever as it lets u connect with ur friends etc. Same applies to FB as well, only thing diff about FB is that its more user friendly and comes up with innovative features.

i am not sure but I remember the popular thing before facebook was myspace. I am not sure if there will ever be another site to replace it because they would have to be the equivalent and then some

@stifler0207 It wouldn't be a bad thing if they came out with a site similar to facebook with more feature where we could also maintain some form of anonymity. I don't mind giving my real name to sign up but when it comes to a display name I don't always want my real name out there sometimes I like to use a nickname. So are you planning to be the next fb replacement building a site will it be free?

Orkut has been shut down for some time now. I used to publicize my blog there. Everyone thought MySpace was the happening place to be. Now, not many people go there. Something could come along and take FaceBook's place but not likely. FB is the only place you can keep track of your family and friends. Most all of them go there.

F.B is not the final. If other better products come it is quite natural that that become popular. For example in the cases of mobile Whats app is famous within no time.

from my opinion catching right opportunity at the right time is much better than catching right opportunity at wrong time.... when whatspp launched there was not so much app available at that time which is a better convenient than other.....

@stifler0207 I understand what you mean. But advanced features always give a separate stage.

FB is losing its glory. Do you think that it is eternal. Already people are hating it. It is only for communication (peronal). Not for exchanging views or comments. Nobody will prefer it unless they get some benefit for wasting so much of time. Mylot is soon going to overcome if it is maintained nicely. FB....it is totally a waste product ....it is not at all a social networking site in my view. It is meant for terrorists.

Usually we humans enjoy poking nose in everybody's life. Orkut didn't give a chance to do so but facebook came with those features and kept on updating it's features time to time. There are other social networking sites like instagram, LinkedIn, twitter etc but charm of FB is still there. Of something better will come in market and FB would not go for the change then it is likely to get shut. Though chances are very low but possibility is there.
