Diary Thursday 28th July 2016

Preston, England
July 29, 2016 7:42am CST
A chaotic day that was quite a mixed bag. The rain stopped me moving a lot of my packed goods to the storage shed ready for the house move. I bought more Scotch Tape and then headed to the beer festival that I thought was starting at noon, only to find that start time only applies on Friday and Saturday, and Thursday’s opening events were not until 4pm. That disappointed me further as I had a meeting in the evening with my new house’s landlady to check the tenancy agreement contract – I need a copy for my welfare advisors. I killed the hours in between in the library and met with my friend. The contract was a straight-forward enough one – we are keeping things as simple as possible. Then I headed to my last regular meeting with the FONT science fiction group after knowing them for twenty years, though we will all still be in touch and I’ll make occasional visits when possible – we often meet at conventions too, but a sad end to an emotional rollercoaster of a day, and the end of an era. The Youtube is appropriately the Science Fiction Double Feature song From The Rocky Horror Show Arthur Chappell
Science Fiction Double Feature, recorded live at the Playhouse Theatre in London September 17th 2015 as shown in cinemas live across the UK and Europe.

I am excited for your move, and entertained by the mental image of the growing pile of rubbish for your sister in the backyard

I am getting ready to clean up for company, one of my least favorite things to do but it must be done. Have a beautiful day!
