Yay, It's Friday!

Yay, it's finally Friday! I know a lot of you are happy that the work week is almost over and the weekend lies ahead.
Even though I no longer work, I am happy that it's Friday because my brother will be off for the weekend. We have some things planned to do and I will be glad to get out of the house for a little while. I just hope it won't be too hot on Saturday.
According to my brother, he will pay for me to get some new adult coloring books and then some gel pens and colored pencils. I am always happy to get new coloring stuff 
. He is such a sweetheart and really treats me so good.
So, what do all of you have planned for the weekend? Are you staying inside where it's cool or are do you have things planned to do?

well, aint he jest sweet? nice that he's gonna get those fer ya, hon. hope the weather aint too hot, we're actually havin' a bit'f a cool down 'fore the oven fires 'p 'gain next week. a high'f 93 feels wonderful compared to what we've been havin', lol.
's fer the weekend here? we ne'er plan nothin', therefore there's no disappointment when schtuff falls 'part, lol. i plan'n cuttin' the back yard (with garden shears so's i can haul't out to my boys - why waste good grass? with me bein' puny such's 'bout 10" tall, lol) 'n finishin' 'p this latest quiltin' fiasco.
'm hopin' the hubs gets somethin' done with the house. he was measurin' the back windows last eve 'n sayin' he's gonna put the new windows 'p. phew, 'tis only been 3 years! he runs'n the oddest'f time clocks...

I wish we were having a cool down from the heat. Maybe it's coming our way? I can only hope . I really, really wish I had a backyard but I know I just have to be patient. I can't wait to see your finished quilt. You should post a picture of it when it's done.

@simone10 the mid 90's here've been awfully sweet, i hope that yer neck'f the woods sees such soon. i hear ya 'n the yard thingy, but then 'gain, jest one more thingy that's gotten be tended 'n sometimes lots more work than a gal's the time fer, lol. i put'p the latest sewin' machine fiascos here 'n also'n that danged blog. i wish i'd ne'er committed to that't times.

You are so lucky to have a loving and caring brother. That's one thing i don't experience because i don't have a brother . I l also long for a son , but I was only given a daughter for a child . But i am already so thankful to God for my daughter.

It's Sunday here now .. Yesterday (Saturday) my husband and I went for a relaxing walk at the Park where a 150 years old mansion is now a tourist attraction ..

My son and daughter in law mentioned they might be coming to visit my mom and then stop here for a visit if we don't meet up at the hospital. Other than that nothing much going on. Hope you get your new coloring books. I really should try my hand at coloring for helping with my stress

It's nice that you are going to have your brother's company this weekend. Though we haven't planned this weekend till now, but will definitely do something new, will go random.
